My name is Kirsten, and I have been a NICU nurse for six wonderful years. Heading into work every night, although tired, I am grateful to have the privilege of caring for the tiniest, most resilient fighters and supporting their incredible families. There’s something truly special about the NICU—it’s a place filled with hope, love, and the most inspiring stories of strength and perseverance.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of meeting countless parents who, despite their fears and uncertainties, show immense courage and devotion to their little ones. I’ve also had the pleasure of working alongside some of the most dedicated and compassionate colleagues anyone could ask for. These experiences have not only shaped me as a nurse but also inspired me to create something that I believe is much needed in our community—a website for NICU nurses and NICU parents to connect, share, and support each other.
This website, which I’ve always dreamed of creating, is designed to be a soft place to land for anyone who finds themselves navigating the NICU journey. Whether you’re a seasoned nurse looking for a community of peers to share experiences and advice with, or a parent seeking comfort and understanding during a challenging time, this site is for you.
For NICU Nurses:
As NICU nurses, we face unique challenges and joys every day. We celebrate the milestones, no matter how small, and we comfort families during the tough times.
